HACKING UP THE FRAME
Well I took a little break and through together a meatloaf for dinner. Getting back to the subject here is a stock 69-78 SOHC cb750 frame that we are going to cut up
This is what we want the frame to look like after the cutting. I found a angle grinder works best. You can waste your money on a cheap one, I have before, but I'm on my second Makiti
the first one was a 4" and it lasted 20 years. My new one is a 4 1/2" and I like even beter. Makita 9557PB 4-1/2-Inch Angle Grinder with Paddle Switch
Next blog we'll make a simple frame jig (I got to go put the meatloaf in the oven) Meatloaf: Recipes for Everyone's Favorite
Ramblings and some sidecar pictures
Well I added the updated blog editor lets see if I can put a picture where I want it. I'll try to add some more pictures of the completed bike with and without sidecar and in the next blog WE will start building the bike.
Well now you know the look we are going for, the next blog we will start building (kinda like reading the last page of a murder mystery before you start the book). By the way the picture editor work great now. I down loaded the new version.
Lets try to post some photos . . .
This is what a stock 69-78 CB750 looks like and below it is the look we are going for after mods
Still having trouble putting pictures at the end of a post so bare with me . . . I'll have to start a new blog to show you the trike pictures. (from what I can figure out is you have to enter the pictures in reverse order that you want to have them published or the software throws them to the top of the post) :>(

OGB
MY INTRO
Well my name is Rick I go by Olgraybeard on a number of sites, I'll post links to them later. I thought I start a blog on the customization of my 73 Honda Cb750 that I turned into a vintage (40's-50's) bobber and then I eventually modified a 1937 Goulding sidecar and attached it to the bike. This bike isn't in real build time but I took hundreds of photos during the build process. Photos have been edited to make "work safe" and contain no nudity (lol).
I'm a 18 wheel truck driver by trade and injured my ankle 5 months ago. I had surgery in late November and I will probably be of work till end of April. So I have allot of time on my hands and no money. So if you end up following this blog, tell your friends and If you see a ad click on it, maybe it will help me financially.
One more thing and I will stop the BS every once in awile I might get off on a rant hence the title of the blog. bear with me and I'll get back to building. Or join in. My next blog I'll add some before and after pictures of the SOHC 73 cb750 and maybe even a picture of the bike with the Goulding sidecar attached. Right now the software isn't letting me post photos where I want them.
